Dear WCSMA Membership:<\/p>\n

We are happy to announce the dates of all festivals that will be taking place in Westchester County in the 2024-2025 school year.
Please save these dates on your calendars and share them with your school districts.<\/p>\n

Area All-State:<\/strong><\/span>
Wednesday, October 16, 4:00 – 9:00 PM (Rehearsal #1)
Wednesday, October 30, 4:00 – 9:00 PM (Rehearsal #2)
Saturday, November 2, 1:00 PM Band Concert<\/strong>
Arrival time is 10:00 AM<\/p>\n

Saturday, November 2, 5:00 PM Orchestra Concert<\/strong>
Arrival time is 2:30 PM<\/p>\n

Sunday, November 3, 1:00 PM – Chorus Concert<\/strong>
Arrival time is 10:00 AM<\/p>\n

All rehearsals and concerts will be taking place at New Rochelle High School.<\/p>\n

All-County Band, Chorus, and Orchestra:<\/strong><\/span>
Monday, February 10, 4:00 – 7:00 PM (Rehearsal #1). Snow date on Tuesday, February 11
Tuesday, March 4, 4:00 – 7:00 PM (Rehearsal #2). Snow date on Wednesday, March 5
Saturday, March 8, 1:00 PM – arrival time is 11:00 AM (Band Concert) and 5:00 PM – arrival time is 3:00 PM (Orchestra Concert)
Sunday, March 9, 1:00 PM – arrival time is 11:00 AM (Chorus Concert)
*Snow dates for the concert weekend will be March 15 and 16<\/p>\n

All rehearsals and concerts will be taking place at New Rochelle High School.
*Also, please note that our rehearsal times have been moved back 30 minutes from previous years to assist with traffic\/parking.<\/p>\n

Wednesday, February 12, 6:30 – 9:30 PM (Rehearsal #1)
Tuesday, March 18, 6:30 – 9:30 PM (Rehearsal #2)
Wednesday, March 19, 6:30 – 9:30 PM (Rehearsal #3)
Friday, March 21, 7:30 PM (Concert)<\/p>\n

Auditions, rehearsals, and the concert will take place at Hommocks Middle School in Mamaroneck.<\/p>\n

NYSSMA Piano Festival:<\/strong><\/span>
March 28-29
Location: Byram Hills HS<\/p>\n

NYSSMA Strings Festival:<\/strong><\/span>
April 4-5
Strings I-IV, plus all levels of harp, and classical guitar
Location: Valhalla HS<\/p>\n

NYSSMA Up-County:<\/strong><\/span>
May 9-10
Location: John Jay MS in Katonah-Lewisboro<\/p>\n

NYSSMA Down-County<\/strong>\/Jazz <\/strong>Solo Festival:<\/strong><\/span>
May 16-17
Location: White Plains HS<\/p>\n

NYSSMA Majors Festival:<\/strong><\/span>
May 28, 29, and 30
Location: Mamaroneck and Bedford<\/p>\n

Please be aware that there are many moving parts to all of these aforementioned festivals. We have been working around the clock to secure facilities, work with administrators, and iron out all of the details that must go into a music festival. This is a monumental effort that must take place each year. With that being said, a big thanks to Kim Dunkin (NYSSMA Zone 11 Representative), Patrick Murphy (Area All-State Coordinator), and all of our WCSMA All-County Coordinators. Also, further thanks to those who help us at our various sites throughout the year, our chairpersons, and our WCSMA members who consistently help in many ways!<\/p>\n
